Windows XP Web Publishing

Windows XP comes with built-in support for Phixr. Believe it or not. This feature is just "disabled" by default.

What is this about?

Windows XP has a so-called "Web Publishing Wizard" that assists you in uploading files to websites, like for instance Phixr.

	After you activated Phixr support for Windows XP, you will start seeing the option to "Publish this file to the Web" in the left side pane as you browse images on your computer. Clicking the publish option will start the publishing wizard.

	The publishing wizard will launch in a new window, and will show a starting screen. Clicking "Next >" in the wizard will take you to the File Selection screen, where you can double check the images you're about to upload.
	Clicking "Next >" will take you the service selection screen, where Phixr.com will appear. Other services that you can upload to will show up here as well; make sure you select "Phixr.com".
	The wizard will then let you log in to your Phixr account and check for available space on your phixr account.
	The wizard will then prepare your images and give you the option to resize them. It's up to you whether or not you want that. In general, you wouldn't want to resize your photos before uploading. If their size exceeds your account's limits, Phixr will resize them anyway.
	The last step in using the publishing wizard is actually uploading your files! You'll see a status screen showing which picture is currently being uploaded. Once the wizard is done you'll be taken to Phixr.com.

How do I make Phixr work with the wizard? In order to enable Phixr support for Windows XP, please download and execute the below file on your computer. This is entirely safe. After executing the file, Windows XP will offer "Phixr" in its list of web publishing services.
